As an EU company based in Spain, we are subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For users from Switzerland, the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG/nDSG), in force since 1 September 2023, applies additionally.
2. Hosting & Server Location
The website readmysoul.com and all associated data are hosted and stored on servers in Switzerland. Switzerland is considered a third country with an adequate level of data protection under the adequacy decision of the EU Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). Transfer to Switzerland is therefore permitted without special safeguards. The service is operated by Soulvillas Proyectos SL, based in Spain.
3. Data Collected & Purposes
3.1 Life Book Generation
To create your personal life book, you voluntarily provide the following data: name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), place of birth, current residence, gender, photos (hand, face, handwriting, optional), voice recordings (optional) and personal details about your life phase, focus areas and optional personal questions. This data is used exclusively for the AI-assisted generation of your life book and is not used for any other purposes thereafter.

Insofar as the birth data you provide, in combination with the astrological, numerological and spiritual interpretation, qualifies as a special category of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR (possible philosophical or belief-related reference), we process it exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). We obtain this consent separately before creating the life book. It is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future; without it, the life book cannot be created.
3.2 Payment Data
The sale and payment processing of our products is handled by Digistore24 GmbH (St.-Godehard-Strasse 32, 31139 Hildesheim, Germany) under the so-called reseller model. This means that the purchase contract is legally concluded between you and Digistore24; Digistore24 acts as the seller and contracting party. Once you are forwarded to the Digistore24 order form, the Digistore24 Privacy Policy applies to the order and payment process. The payment and billing data entered there is processed by Digistore24 under its own responsibility; Read my Soul does not receive or store any complete payment data (e.g. credit card numbers).

3.3 Email Notifications
We use your email address for three separate purposes:
a) Transactional emails (contract): order confirmation, the access link to your completed life book and, where applicable, a reminder before the availability period expires. These emails are part of the service and cannot be unsubscribed from while the contract is running. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
b) Notices about similar offers (existing-customer marketing): After your purchase we occasionally send you emails with our own, similar offers relating to your life book. You may object to this at any time and free of charge via the unsubscribe link in every email. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 21(2) LSSI-CE (Ley 34/2002).
c) Newsletter and recurring content (only with consent): If you sign up, you additionally receive our newsletter and a monthly „Cosmic Outlook“. Registration uses a double opt-in procedure and can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
All emails are sent via Twilio SendGrid (1801 California St., Denver, CO 80202, USA); the transfer to the USA is based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
3.4 Server Logs (Swiss Hosting)
The Swiss hosting servers automatically store on each access: IP address, URL accessed, date and time, browser type, operating system and referrer URL – for a maximum of 7 days for security and error analysis.

3.5 Cookies
Read my Soul uses only technically necessary cookies (session cookies, WordPress authentication). No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies are used. Consent is therefore not required.
4. AI Processing (Anthropic Claude)
To generate personalised life books, we use the Claude API from Anthropic, PBC (548 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA). Your personal data (name, birth data, places, optional photos) is transmitted to Anthropic to create the text. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and uses no API data for training its AI models (zero-retention policy for API customers).

FreeAstroAPI – natal chart calculation: To calculate the natal charts we transmit the birth data (name or display name, date, time and place including the determined geographic coordinates) to the FreeAstroAPI service. Provider: FreeAstroAPI LLC, San Francisco, California, USA. This constitutes a transfer to the USA (third country), safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where applicable, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR.
Nominatim / OpenStreetMap – geocoding: To determine the geographic coordinates of the stated place of birth, we transmit the location to the Nominatim geocoding service of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (based in the United Kingdom; adequacy decision of the EU Commission under Art. 45 GDPR). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Cloudflare – CDN & security: We use Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) as a content delivery network and to secure the website. In doing so, your IP address, among other data, may be processed. The transfer to the USA is safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and performant operation of the website).
5. Storage Period
Uploaded photos and voice recordings are used exclusively to create the life book and are automatically deleted after 30 days at the latest. Generated life books remain accessible for 90 days and are then automatically and irrevocably deleted. Personal data from orders and invoices is retained in accordance with the statutory retention obligations under Spanish law – six years under commercial law (Art. 30 Código de Comercio) and four years under tax law (limitation period under the Ley General Tributaria).

7. Data Security
Data transmission takes place exclusively via SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS). The Swiss server infrastructure meets high security standards. Stored data is encrypted and protected by access controls.

The life books created by Read my Soul serve for personal reflection and entertainment. Astrological, numerological and spiritual content consists of creative-interpretive texts with no scientific claim. They do not replace medical, psychological or legal advice.
